About our building company

Setter & Saunders in Exeter is a firm of traditional building contractors. The company was founded by Paul Saunders and Peter Setter in 1978. Later, in 1991, Guy Rutledge joined the company to replace Peter when he retired.  Terry Cosgrove joined the firm in 2006 and is the sole director of the company now that Paul and Guy are retired.

Throughout this time, we have worked hard to build and maintain our reputation as a company that delivers high quality projects that are completed to an impeccable standard.

Over the years we have built and trained an experienced, skilled and loyal workforce. Our entire team are closely involved with every project and we strive to produce buildings that we are all proud of.

We have been entrusted to build some amazing "one-off" houses, doctors surgeries, offices, and social housing for a well known and respected local charity.

We endeavour to establish great relationships with every single client and we frequently enjoy repeat business and referrals from our former clients. The basic philosophy of our firm is to produce an exemplary standard of construction, as well as happy clients.
